Budget app for the UK

A budget app for the UK that plans every pound before you spend it.

Budgetfold is a zero-based budget: your take-home pay is shared out between rent, council tax, food and the rest until nothing is left unassigned. Set the currency to pounds sterling and every figure follows. It is on Google Play in the UK and works in any browser.

Free plan: this month's budget, 2 accounts and 100 transactions. On the web Plus is $39 (US dollars) a year; in the Android app Google Play charges in your local currency.

How it works in the UK

Pick pounds in Settings and amounts show as £. Budgetfold has no bank connection. You type a purchase in a few seconds, or download a CSV, OFX or QFX statement from your online banking and import it. Day-first dates such as 25/10/2026 are read correctly. Annual costs such as car insurance, the TV licence or Christmas become sinking funds: give each a monthly amount and the money is there when the bill arrives.

Coming from YNAB?

YNAB charges $109 a year in US dollars everywhere. Export your plan from YNAB on the web and upload the zip: Budgetfold reads pound-denominated plans and day-first dates as YNAB writes them. See the YNAB comparison.
