Compare it with sha256sum (Linux/macOS), certutil -hashfile budgetfold-1.0.0.apk SHA256 (Windows) or any checksum app on the phone. If the values differ, do not install it; you did not get our file.
No. An APK installed outside a store does not auto-update. This page always shows the current version, and Settings in the app shows which version you have. Installing a newer version over the old one keeps your account and data, which live on the server anyway.
Yes. The Google Play, Galaxy Store, AppGallery and Amazon builds use the same signing key, so a store version installs over this one without an uninstall.
Same account, same data. The Android app is the budgetfold.com web app in a native shell: it opens budgetfold.com links in the app, adds a home-screen icon and the back button, and works on tablets.
On the website. The app's Upgrade page opens budgetfold.com in your browser; nothing is sold inside this build. Plus is $39 a year or $4.99 a month. The free plan (this month's budget, 2 accounts, 100 transactions, 3 tracked subscriptions, import and full export) stays free.
No. Budgetfold never asks for bank credentials. Enter transactions as you go or import a CSV, OFX, QFX or QIF file from your bank when you want to.
