About Budgetfold

Budgetfold is a zero-based, envelope-style budget you keep by hand, with a register, goals, a subscription tracker and importers for the apps people are leaving.

Who it is for

People who used YNAB until the price went up, people who lost Mint, people who tried Rocket Money and did not like the fee, and anyone who wants to budget without handing a third party their bank password.

What it does

• Assigns income to categories each month; overspending rolls into next month's Ready to assign.
• Goals: monthly, target, or target by date, funded with one button.
• Accounts and a full register: cleared and uncleared, transfers, splits, reconciliation.
• Scheduled bills and a subscription tracker with renewal dates, trial ends and price-change history, detected from your own transactions.
• Import from YNAB, Mint, Monarch, Goodbudget, Rocket Money, Copilot, Tiller, Quicken QIF and any bank CSV, OFX or QFX; export in the same shape, always free.
• One person free, up to six on Plus; any currency.

How it is priced

Free for the current month: 2 accounts, 100 transactions, 3 tracked subscriptions, one person, 10 AI assists a month, unlimited categories. Plus is $39 a year or $4.99 a month: every month and all history, unlimited accounts, transactions and subscriptions, up to six people, 200 AI assists. No ads, no data sales, no bank connection to maintain.
