How it works

Your pay goes to the top of the month. You share it out between rent, food, transport, school fees and savings until nothing is left to assign. Budgetfold has no bank connection. You type a purchase in a few seconds, or download a CSV, OFX or QFX statement from your online banking and import it. Day-first dates such as 25/10/2026 are read correctly.

Coming from YNAB or PocketSmith?

YNAB is US$109 a year in every country. Upload the YNAB Export Plan zip; plans in euros or other decimal-comma currencies, which YNAB writes as tab-separated files, import as written. PocketSmith, made in New Zealand, also prices in US dollars. YNAB compared.
