PocketGuard's export is a link emailed to you, valid for 24 hours, covering every linked account. Budgetfold reads the file and gives each account and category a home.
Importer via the generic CSV reader (date, description, amount, plus category and account columns when present). Steps checked on pocketguard.com/help ("Export transactions", updated 3 September 2026), 9 September 2026. Their help center files this under PocketGuard Plus features; if you are on the free plan and do not see it, that is likely why.
Free plan: this month's budget, 2 accounts, 100 transactions, 3 tracked subscriptions, one person, 10 AI assists a month. If your import is bigger than the free plan, you get a one-time offer at that moment: $10 off the first year of Plus ($29), good for 30 days.

PocketGuard Plus is $74.99 a year or $12.99 a month (pocketguard.com/pricing, 9 September 2026). Budgetfold Plus is $39 a year or $4.99 a month; the free plan covers this month with 2 accounts and 100 transactions. PocketGuard links banks and offers bill negotiation; Budgetfold does neither.
Your transactions land in the register with their accounts and categories. Open the current month, move Ready to assign into categories until it reads zero, and the envelopes start working from today. Press Find recurring charges on Bills & subscriptions and Budgetfold proposes your subscriptions from the history, with renewal dates and yearly cost. Everything you import can be exported again as a zip of CSVs at any time, on every plan.
